ELIMINATION

There will be a maximum field of 30 runners (Newmarket Rowley Mile).

If at the overnight stage there are more than 30 entries, runners will be reduced by the elimination of those horses, which, in the opinion of the B.H.B. Handicapper, have the lowest handicap rating.

Where a horse is so eliminated 50% of the entry fee totalling £700 will be reimbursed to the owner.


RULES

1. Entry to the race is open to all Lots sold or bought in under the hammer at the 2007 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Books 2, 3 or 4 which have been declared by Tattersalls Ltd. as eligible to be entered and run in accordance with the relevant rules.
2. Where a Lot is withdrawn from the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Books 2, 3 or 4 that Lot will not be eligible for the £250,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes.
3. Where a Lot sold at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Books 2, 3 or 4 is subsequently returned to the vendor under the Conditions of Sale, it remains eligible so long as commission is paid on the original sale.
4. Where the purchase price or any charges in connection with the sale of a Lot have not been paid to Tattersalls, Tattersalls reserves the right either not to declare that Lot as eligible to be entered, or to declare that lot forfeit at any later stage.
5. The £250,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes will be run under the Rules and Orders of racing.
6. Entries for the £250,000 Tattersalls October Auction Stakes 2007 will be accepted at the time of closing for horses which do not have a registered name. However, such horses will be disqualified and removed from the race if the name has not been registered by Tuesday, July 22nd 2008.
