The final instalment of the once in a generation Ballymacoll Dispersal, comprising 22 fillies and mares, heads an outstanding catalogue for the forthcoming Tattersalls December Mares Sale which takes place December 4th to 7th. The catalogue for Europe’s premier breeding stock sale numbers 1,087 and can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com.

The Ballymacoll Dispersal has already made headlines with the KINGMAN yearling filly out of JUSTLOOKDONTOUCH realising 1.7 million guineas at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale and JUSTLOOKDONTOUCH, alongside her multiple Stakes winning daughter ABINGDON and her hugely exciting two-year-old daughter AIM OF ARTEMIS, will be amongst the highlights of the much anticipated dispersal. In total eight of the 14 Ballymacoll broodmares are Group or Listed performers including the peerless Champion ISLINGTON, in foal to KINGMAN, Group 2 winner ELEANOR DUSE, in foal to FRANKEL and Group 3 winner LIBER NAUTICUS, in foal to Derby winner HARZAND.

Widely regarded as the world’s most international bloodstock sale, the 2017 renewal of the Tattersalls December Mare Sale as ever combines the best of British and Irish bloodstock with top class consignments from throughout Europe. Dual Group 1 winning sprinters MARSHA and QUIET REFLECTION, as well as Group and Grade 1 winners ZHUKOVA and INTRICATELY, are amongst more than 60 Group and Listed performing fillies in and out of training catalogued. Equally eye - catching is the Group 3 Royal Ascot winning dual Group 1 placed two-year-old filly DIFFERENT LEAGUE who is the highest rated two-year-old filly to be offered at the December Sale this century and as short as 14-1 for next year’s 1000 Guineas.

Other top class fillies include Group and Grade 2 winners PRIZE EXHIBIT, SPAIN BURG and TRAFFIC JAM as well as Group 3 winners BANZARI, EPSOM ICON, LADY MACAPA, ONLY MINE, REALTRA, SANTA MONICA, SHY WITCH and WEKEELA.

Well covered broodmares also feature in abundance with no less than 36 mares in foal to the current top five stallions in Britain and Ireland; GALILEO, DARK ANGEL, DUBAWI, FRANKEL and KODIAC. The sole mare in foal to nine time Champion sire GALILEO is the seven-year-old Listed winner MODERNSTONE, from the top class Juddmonte family of ELMAAMUL, MIDDAY and REAMS OF VERSE, while the two mares in foal to DUBAWI are eight-year-old Group 1 winner VOLEUSE DE COEURS and five-year-old ANZHELIKA, the Listed-placed GALILEO half-sister to multiple Grade 1 winner ANGARA from the outstanding Wildenstein family of ARCANGUES and AQUARELLISTE.

The 13 mares in foal to FRANKEL make equally impressive reading and include the Group 1 winners EVA’S REQUEST and PENELOPA, as well as Group 2 winner RESTIADARGENT, Group 3 winner TOURNY, Listed winner ZUHOOR BAYNOONA and AULD ALLIANCE, the Ballymacoll-bred Stakes-placed half-sister to GOLAN and TARTAN BEARER.

Mares in foal to DARK ANGEL include Ballymacoll Champion ISLINGTON’s four-year-old winning daughter CANONBURY and CENTRED, a winning half-sister to Group 2 winner ELEANORA DUSE, also from the Ballymacoll Dispersal. CUP CAKE, the dam of recent Grade 1 Shadwell Turf Mile winner SUEDOIS, is another in foal to DARK ANGEL.

The largest consignment comes from The Castlebridge Consignment whose massive team of 120 includes the 22 comprising the Ballymacoll Dispersal as well as the Group 1 winning duo of INTRICATELY and ZHUKOVA. The annual hugely popular dispersals from Godolphin and Juddmonte Farms number 53 and 56 respectively, while the leading owner/breeders Cheveley Park Stud, Haras de Fresnay-le-Buffard, Hascombe and Valiant Stud, Lanwades Stud, Newsells Park Stud, The Royal Studs and Shadwell Stud are all well represented alongside consignors Jamie Railton and Ted Voute whose teams number 47 and 61.
