Champion Scandinavian Mare Entangle Heads Tattersalls December Sale Wildcards
ENTANGLE, the winner of a remarkable 20 races, fourteen of them at Group/Listed level, is one of four ‘wildcard’ entries for the Tattersalls December Sale which takes place from November 26 to December 6. The ‘wildcard’ quartet is made up of one yearling and three mares.
The Group winning PIVOTAL race-mare ENTANGLE has become somewhat of a cult figure in Scandinavia, accumulating more than £430,000 in prizemoney over the last four years, and winning on 20 occasions, fourteen of them at Group/Listed level. Catalogued as Lot 2122C, ENTANGLE is out of ENTWINE, a half-sister to the Group 2 Lowther Stakes winner SOAR and the Listed winning FEET SO FAST. Officially rated 109, ENTANGLE is also a half-sister to the dam of last year’s Listed winning filly MISS WORK OF ART. She will be consigned to the sale by John James’ Brookside Stud in Newmarket.
The trio of ‘wildcard’ mares also includes DIARA ANGEL, the GREEN DESERT half-sister to last year’s Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf winner WROTE. Catalogued as Lot 2122A and consigned from Voute Sales, the winning five-year-old mare is in foal to HIGH CHAPARRAL and carrying a three-parts sibling to WROTE.
Completing the December Mare ‘wildcards’ is the DANEHILL mare FLEETING MEMORY who is offered in foal to ELUSIVE QUALITY and catalogued as Lot 2122B. Consigned from The Royal Studs on behalf of Her Majesty The Queen, FLEETING MEMORY is already the dam of the Listed winning filly MOMENTARY. She is a daughter of the Group 1 Oaks second FLIGHT OF FANCY, and a granddaughter of the Group 2 Ribblesdale Stakes winner PHANTOM GOLD.
The December Yearling Sale ‘wildcard’ is Lot 83A to be consigned from Victor Stud. The bay colt by MANDURO out of the SHERNAZAR mare HARIYA, is a half-brother to three winners including the Listed placed HIMARIYA.
