Classic Prospects Rosdhu Queen and Moohaajim Fly Flag for Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale
The Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale has been Europe’s leading breeze up sale for many years now, something that has been underlined by two of the graduates from last year’s sale.
The unbeaten filly ROSDHU QUEEN, owned by Clipper Logistics’ Steve Parkin, was bought by David Redvers at last year’s renewal of the Craven Breeze Up Sale for 65,000 guineas from the draft of Grove Stud’s Brendan Holland. The William Haggas-trained daughter of INVINCIBLE SPIRIT won the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes and Group 2 Lowther Stakes amongst her four victories and is as short as 14-1 for 1,000 Guineas glory. INVINCIBLE SPIRIT has twelve lots catalogued for the 2013 Craven Breeze Up Sale whilst Grove Stud consign a draft of nine two-year-olds.
The Marco Botti-trained MOOHAAJIM was purchased from the draft of Charlie and Tracy Vigors’ Hillwood Stud for 200,000 guineas at last year’s sale. The son of CAPE CROSS was an impressive winner of the Group 2 Mill Reef Stakes at Newbury before a narrow loss to RECKLESS ABANDON in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes and is as short at 16-1 for the 2,000 Guineas at Newmarket. Hillwood Stud consign a draft of seven two-year-olds to this year’s sale, including one of two lots by CAPE CROSS.
The Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale has averaged a remarkable ten Group/Listed winning graduates from each sale in recent years, and 20 Group/Listed placed horses, figures that are double that of any other European breeze up sale. It also had more two-year-old winners in 2012 than any other European breeze up sale.
The Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Sale takes place from April 16 – 18. Catalogues are out now and available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls Representatives as well as online at www.tattersalls.com.
