COPLOW, the dam of 1000 Guineas and Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes heroine BILLESDON BROOK, is to be offered in foal to KINGMAN at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale which takes place December 2nd - 5th.

The 10 year old COPLOW, whose first two foals are the Listed winning BILLESDON BESS who sold for 800,000 guineas at last year’s Tattersalls December Sale, and the outstanding BILLESDON BROOK, will be offered on Tuesday 3rd December, from Jeanette McCreery’s Stowell Hill Stud on behalf of Stowell Hill Partners.

By MANDURO, the regally bred COPLOW is herself the half-sister to the Group 3 winning trio of ANNA NERIUM, MIDDLE CLUB and PIPING ROCK, all of whom raced in the famous McCreery colours. Her dam ANNA OLEANDA is out of the German Champion ANNA PAOLA and appropriately by Irish Derby and Prix du Jockey Club winner OLD VIC, who was also bred by Jeanette McCreery's late husband Bob.

In foal to the hugely exciting KINGMAN on a March 16th cover and believed to be carrying a colt, COPLOW has a two year old daughter of SEPOY in training with Richard Hannon alongside her Classic winning half-sister BILLESDON BROOK, and also has a colt foal by DUBAWI, who is the sire of COPLOW’s Group 3 winning half-sister ANNA NERIUM.

Commenting on the sale of COPLOW, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

“It is rare for such a young dam of a Classic winner to be offered for sale and BILLESDON BROOK’s win in the Group 1 Sun Chariot Stakes was a fantastic update to an already outstanding pedigree. As well as producing a Classic winner and a Stakes winner with her first two foals, COPLOW is in foal to one of the world’s most exciting young sires in KINGMAN, and she is a wonderful tribute to Jeanette McCreery and her late husband Bob, who have bred so many great racehorses over the years."
