Fred Wins 147th Book 1 Bonus and Earns £38,257

The Mark Johnston-trained FRED became the 147th winner of a Tattersalls October £25,000 Book 1 Bonus when holding on to win the EBF Novice Stakes at Leicester, picking up a total of £38,257 for his owners The Burke Family in the process.

The son of FRANKEL is out of the Listed placed DUBAWI mare DEIRDRE and is a half-brother to three winners, from the family of Group 1 Irish St Leger winner DUNCAN.  FRED was offered at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by John Troy on behalf of Normandie Stud where he was purchased by Mark Johnston for 145,000 guineas.
