Barbara FitzGerald is to join Tattersalls as part of the marketing team for the Newmarket based bloodstock auctioneers. Barbara will take up her new appointment beginning on Monday 31st March with the primary emphasis of her role being the development and expansion of new and existing overseas markets.
Until recently Swiss born Barbara has been a director of the internationally renowned 6C Racing which is relocating to France after the purchase of Haras de Saint Pair by 6C Chairman Andreas Putsch. Prior to joining 6C Racing Barbara assisted her husband Lord John FitzGerald in his capacity as Chief Executive of the Emirates Racing Association from 1992 to 1996 having worked for bloodstock agent the late Tote Cherry – Downes for almost 10 years and also the German Direktorium.

Barbara FitzGerald said of her new role;
