OKLAHOMA CITY went one better today than his last run only six days ago for trainer Aidan O’Brien, to win the 17 runner £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse today, the last of the 2YO races in the 2013/14 Tattersalls Millions series.

The son of Oasis Dream was bought by Demi O’Byrne from the 2012 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 from Meon Valley Stud. OKLAHOMA CITY’S half-brother by Dansili, consigned by Meon Valley Stud, is lot 409 in this year’s Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1 and is one of 15 by Dansili in the catalogue.

After the race Aidan O’Brien commented, “He had a couple of good runs over six furlongs before he stepped up in trip and ran a solid race in Ireland last week. He’s a tough hardy horse who loved the ground and the trip today. He has a lot a different entries in a lot of different races so it is very possible he will run again this year but he loves fast ground so the ground would be important for him.”

POSTPONED for trainer Luca Cumani was second, with BON VOYAGE for Richard Hannon in third.

There are two more races scheduled in the 2013/14 Tattersalls Millions race series, which take place at Newmarket Rowley Mile’s Craven Meeting in 2014, with £300,000 still on offer.

Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, featuring the only yearlings eligible for next year’s series takes place from 8th – 10th October and are at Tattersalls available for inspection.
