The Robert Cowell trained PROHIBIT ran out a deserved winner of the Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes and continued the phenomenal success of graduates from the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale. The son of OASIS DREAM was purchased by Cowell for 85,000 guineas at the 2009 renewal of the sale and is one of an amazing five Group 1 winning graduates from the sale in the past 12 months. They include the 2,000 Guineas winner MAKFI (bought for 26,000 gns), the Sydney Cup winner STAND TO GAIN (105,000 gns), the Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner MY KINGDOM OF FIFE (60,000 gns) and Prix Maurice de Gheest winner REGAL PARADE (16,000 gns).

PROHIBIT was consigned to the Autumn Horses in Training Sale by Juddmonte Farms who stand his sire OASIS DREAM and the Newmarket nursery celebrated a memorable double on the opening day of Royal Ascot when the Aidan O’Brien trained POWER won the Group 2 Coventry Stakes. The colt was a bargain-buy from Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale where he was purchased for 50,000 guineas from the Highclere Stud consignment.

Later in the day VEILED continued the success of Horses in Training graduates when she won the Ascot Handicap. The daughter of SADLER’S WELLS was purchased for 48,000 guineas and won the marathon event in fine style for trainer Nicky Henderson. The next chance to purchase a horse in training at Tattersalls is at the July Sale which takes place from July 6 – 8.
