Rostropovich Wins 51st Book 1 Bonus and Collects 47,913 Euros
ROSTROPOVICH won the 51st £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus when taking out the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Gowran Park. His victory means connections will collect a total of €47,913 with prize money and a Plus 10 Bonus adding to the £25,000 bonus from Tattersalls.
The beautifully-bred son of sire sensation FRANKEL is a half-brother to Group 1 winner and sire ZOFFANY, the horse who finished closer to FRANKEL than any other horse when runner-up in the St James’s Palace Stakes.
ROSTROPOVICH was sold at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 1,100,000 guineas by Croom House Stud to MV Magnier, Mayfair Speculators and Peter & Ross Doyle Bloodstock and races for Michael Tabor, Derrick Smith, Mrs John Magnier and Markus Jooste.
The Tattersalls October £25,000 Book 1 Bonus is only for horses bought at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, that takes place from October 3 - 5.
