Tattersalls Makes Two New Board Appointments

Tattersalls, Europe's leading bloodstock auctioneers, has made two new Board appointments with Gavin Davies and John Morrey joining the Tattersalls Board as Bloodstock Sales Director and Park Paddocks and Property Director respectively.

Davies, aged 41, joined the Tattersalls Bloodstock Sales team in 2000, becoming Manager in 2005 and he succeeds former Bloodstock Sales Director Martin Mitchell who retired in 2011. Commenting on his appointment, Davies said;

"It was always a pleasure working with Martin Mitchell and he is a hard act to follow, but I am thrilled to have been appointed to the Tattersalls Board. We enjoyed a very successful 2012 and I am enormously looking forward to the new role and to the challenges ahead."

Morrey, aged 40, has been Property Manager since joining the Newmarket based auctioneers in 2002 having worked in London for Grosvenor Estate for five years.

"I am delighted to be joining the Tattersalls Board as Park Paddocks and Property Director," said Morrey. "Everyone at Tattersalls takes enormous pride in the Park Paddocks sales complex and it is a privilege to be entrusted with the task of maintaining the high standards that are synonymous with the company name."

Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony commented;

"Both Gavin and John have already made significant contributions to Tattersalls in recent years and have earned widespread respect throughout the industry. They will both join the Tattersalls Board with immediate effect and we are all looking forward to working together and to a successful 2013."
