Tattersalls is to increase the value of the lucrative October Book 1 Bonuses from £20,000 to £25,000 with all yearlings catalogued for Book 1 of the 2023 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale eligible for the lucrative scheme which has already seen more than £7.5 million in bonus prize money distributed to owners in Britain and Ireland.

Originally launched in 2015, the £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus scheme has been applauded from the outset not only for rewarding owners with unprecedented bonuses, but also for catering to all sectors of the October Book 1 market and for providing multiple opportunities to land the £25,000 bonuses. To date there have been 329 October Book 1 Bonus winners with more than a third of them purchased for 100,000 guineas or less. 2023 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus winners have been purchased for as little as 52,000 guineas and this year’s roll of honour also includes the unbeaten Group 2 Coventry Stakes winner RIVER TIBER.

Commenting on the Book 1 Bonus increase to £25,000, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

“The Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus scheme has been a real success story from the very beginning and the increase from £20,000 back to the original £25,000 demonstrates the Tattersalls commitment to rewarding owners with unprecedented bonuses and the enduring appeal of a scheme which has already contributed more than £7.5 million directly to owners and into British and Irish prize money. The catalogue for Book 1 of the 2023 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale will be out soon and every single one of the yearlings catalogued in Europe’s premier yearling sale is eligible to earn a £25,000 bonus simply by winning one of more than 300 maiden and novice races in Britain and Ireland.”
