Postponed Winning the G1 Coronation Cup

POSTPONED stamped himself as Europe’s leading older horse with a superb victory in the Coronation Cup on Derby Day ahead of the Grade 1 Breeders Cup Turf winner FOUND and pacemaker ROSEBURG.

The five-year-old POSTPONED, purchased by Charlie Gordon - Watson and John Warren for 360,000 guineas at Book 1 of the 2012 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, took his earnings to just short of £4,000,000 with an effortless victory in the Group 1 Coronation Cup. Trained by Newmarket-based Roger Varian for owner Sheikh Mohammed Obaid, the son of DUBAWI out of EVER RIGG, was bred by St Albans Bloodstock and consigned as a yearling by Highclere Stud. Only twice out of the first three in 16 lifetime starts, POSTPONED is now the winner of eight races including six Group 1 and 2 contests.

The next sale at Tattersalls is the July Sale that takes place from July 6 – 8.
