The DUBAWI colt foal out of Champion racemare and Group 2 producer FINSCEAL BEO is to be offered at the forthcoming Tattersalls December Foal Sale which takes place November 23rd - 26th. The chesnut colt will be consigned from his owner Michael Ryan’s County Waterford based Al Eile Stud and looks set to be one of the standout foals at Europe’s premier foal sale.

The 12 year old mare FINSCEAL BEO was one of the outstanding European race fillies of this century, winning both the English and Irish 1000 Guineas for owner Michael Ryan and trainer Jim Bolger, as well as being European Champion 2 year old and Irish Champion older mare in 2008. In her illustrious career, FINSCEAL BEO won or was placed in six Group 1 contests, winning the Prix Marcel Boussac in addition to her two Classic triumphs, as well as the Group 2 Rockfel Stakes.

The champion racemare has made an immediate impact as a broodmare, with her first foal, a filly by SEA THE STARS, realising €800,000 at auction and her second foal, a colt by MONTJEU, fetching €2,850,000. Subsequently named OL’ MAN RIVER, the Aidan O’Brien trained colt ended his two year old career as the unbeaten winner of the Group 2 Beresford Stakes. FINSCEAL BEO’s fourth foal, a filly by the all conquering FRANKEL, was purchased for €1,800,000 and, named LA FIGLIA, is in training in Newmarket with William Haggas.

Commenting on the DUBAWI colt foal, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

“FINSCEAL BEO was an outstanding racemare and is an equally outstanding broodmare who consistently produces exceptional foals. DUBAWI is one of the world’s preeminent sires, whose progeny are as successful in the sale ring as they are on racecourses throughout the world. It is a privilege to be offering this colt foal on behalf of Al Eile Stud and he looks sure to be one of the highlights of the 2016 Tattersalls December Sale."
