HARLEM, the sale-topper at the 2016 Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale raced into Caulfield Cup calculations with an emphatic win in the Group 3 MRC Foundation Cup at Caulfield today. Trained by David & Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig, the son of CHAMPS ELYSEES was bought in partnership by SackvilleDonald’s Al Donald and Louis Le Metayer’s Astute Bloodstock for 520,000 guineas from the consignment of Juddmonte Farms last year.

HARLEM is now 12-1 for the $3,000,000 Caulfield Cup on October 21 and co-trainer Ben Hayes was understandably excited. He commented;

“His form over in Europe was over further, so it's very exciting. Look out Caulfield Cup.

"The won he won today, he won quite convincingly and they weren't slouches in that field.

"So it was good to see him do it."

HARLEM races in the colours of Hong Kong-based owner Edmond Lee who also part-owns 22,000 guineas Tattersalls October Yearling Sale purchase REDKIRK WARRIOR who is set to run in the inaugural $10,000,000 Everest.
