Lot 1628, the bay colt by MTOTO out of the SHAADI mare BUNTING, attracted plenty of interest as the own brother to the Listed winning and three time Group 1 placed filly MOT JUSTE and half brother to the multiple Listed winner PARASOL. Consigned from John and Lady Carolyn Warren's Highclere Stud in Berkshire, who have enjoyed a hugely successful two weeks at Tattersalls, the colt drew interest from all corners of the ring with Marlborough trainer Peter Makin making much of the running along with Newmarket based trainer John Gosden. Alex Greaves, wife of Yorkshire based trainer Dandy Nicholls, also signalled her intent, and when Gosden finally cried enough, she had secured the colt for 70,000 guineas who will go into training at Nicholls' Tall Trees Stables.

Earlier in the day, lot 1473, the bay filly by ROYAL APPLAUSE out of the NIGHT SHIFT mare PETITE EPAULETTE realised 68,000 guineas to the bid of Irish agent Ross Doyle. Consigned to the sale from Peter Player's Whatton Manor Stud on behalf of her breeder Robert Cornelius, the filly is a half-sister to the Group 3 winner RAG TOP and the Listed placed RED TOP as well as to SEAMSTRESS, dam of Sylvester Kirk's smart Listed winning sprinter ELHAMRI. Doyle secured the filly after seeing off the efforts of the BBA Ireland's Eamonn Reilly and indicated that she would go into training with Richard Hannon who trained her siblings RAG TOP and RED TOP.
