Trio of Australian Stakes Winners for Tattersalls Autumn Horses In Training Sale Purchases

There was a trio of Stakes successes for graduates of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale, with PINHOLE, FORMAL DISPLAY and CHILLAXING winning the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes, Group 3 Alan Brown Stakes and Listed Queensland Cup respectively.

Pinhole landing the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes

First to strike was PINHOLE, a son of FRANKEL who was purchased by trainer Chris Waller for 200,000 guineas from Juddmonte at last year’s Autumn Horses in Training Sale. His victory in the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes also secured an automatic berth in the Group 1 Caulfield Cup, adding further significance to an impressive performance.

FORMAL DISPLAY, another graduate of the ever-popular Juddmonte draft, followed suit with a dominant victory in the Group 3 Alan Brown Stakes at Rosehill. The son of TOO DARN HOT was purchased for 100,000 guineas by trainer Annabel Neasham, in partnership with owner Triple Crown Syndications and Blandford Bloodstock’s Stuart Boman.

Completing the treble was CHILLAXING, who landed the Listed Queensland Cup. The son of GALILEO was purchased for 22,000 guineas by Australian Bloodstock and Ronald Rauscher from Baroda Stud, providing a third Stakes-winning success for graduates of the sale.

The Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale will take place from Monday 26th to Thursday 29th October. Catalogues are online now at www.tattersalls.com and will be available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives from Monday 12th October.
