High Class Colt Green Storm Leads Nine Wildcards Added to Tattersalls July Sale

High class three-year-old colt Green Storm ran with credit in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot on his most recent start

Nine wildcards have been added to the Tattersalls July Sale, which will take place from Tuesday 8th to Thursday 10th July, led by the high class colt GREEN STORM, runner up in the Group 1 Critérium de Saint-Cloud at two and a fast-closing fifth in the Group 2 King Edward VII Stakes at Royal Ascot on his most recent start.

The high class three-year-old is by GALILEO’s dual Group 1 winning son CIRCUS MAXIMUS out of the multiple Group winner BANIMPIRE and will be offered by Charlie Johnston’s Kingsley Park as lot 583E with a Timeform rating of 108 on behalf of owner Ahmad Al Shaikh.

The same owner’s Green Team Racing will also offer the promising three-year-old AL SHABABI as lot 583D, consigned by trainer Owen Burrows. The WITHOUT PAROLE colt broke his maiden impressively on his third start in April and will be offered with a Timeform rating of 91p as lot 583D. They will be joined by a third smart three-year-old colt in MATAURI BAY, Timeform rated 101, who will be consigned by Imperium Sales as lot 583C. The son of LOPE DE VEGA was second in the Group 3 Solario Stakes to exceptional Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas winner FIELD OF GOLD.

Jamie Railton will consign two progressive four-year-olds in the Timeform 98 rated SMALL FRY, a wide-margin winner of a competitive Class 2 Handicap at Epsom on Derby day for Gary & Josh Moore, and the consistent FAHRENHEIT SEVEN, a winner or placed in ten of his twelve lifetime starts for Mark Usher with a Timeform rating of 100p. They will be offered as lot 583B and 583A respectively.

The wildcards include several fillies with smart form led by promising two-year-old LUMINARE, the winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus when breaking her maiden for Ollie Sangster on her most recent start earning a Timeform rating of 72p. The daughter of DARK ANGEL is a half-sister to Group 3 winning filly RAQIYA from the excellent Shadwell family of Champion BAHRI and will be offered by the Castlebridge Consignment as lot 243A.

Barton Sales will offer the DUBAWI filly BEAUTY BEYOND as lot 243D on behalf of Gainsborough Thoroughbreds, and James Tate’s Jamesfield Stables will offer the TOO DARN HOT filly AHLAIN, fourth in the Listed Spring Cup and Timeform rated 99, as lot 243C as well as SMART HERO, a dual winner in 2025 as lot 243B. The four-year-old son of SHAMARDAL is a half-brother to blacktype colt SEA THE CASPER and will be offered with a TImeform rating of 102.
