An impressive clearance rate of 93% was achieved and there was strong international representation throughout.Lot 765: Sea Force (IRE)Sea Force Bound for BahrainThe son of SEA THE STARS was purchased for 170,000 guineas from William Haggas’ Somerville Lodge. Bahrain trainer Jaber Ramadhan signed for the four-year-old gelding under JS Bloodstock, purchased on behalf of his owner Hasan Alajmi.“We’ve been following him for the past two or three months”, Ramadhan revealed. “He’s a good horse, so if we can run him at the same level as he achieved for William Haggas, we’ll be lucky,” Expanding on his future plans, Ramadhan explained:“Hopefully he can run in the Bahrain Turf Series. There is a mile race in the series this year and because he’s rated 94, we hope that he will get into it and go well on our ground. July is perfect timing for us to get him to Bahrain. We’ve got four or five months to give him a rest and then get him ready for December.”Lot 664: He’s Waliim (GB)He’s Waliim Heads to QatarQatar beckons for the TOO DARN HOT three-year-old gelding HE’S WALIIM after he was purchased by trainer Ibrahim Al-Malki for 150,000gns from James Tate’s Jamesfield Stables.“He goes to Qatar and should be competitive in the stakes races over a mile, he likes firm ground and ticks all the boxes for us,” explained Al-Malki.HE’S WALIIM is BHA rated 97 and enjoyed a recent update when winning at Sandown by four and a half lengths on Saturday over seven furlongs. Elaborating on the Tattersalls July Sale’s appeal as a source of horses for Qatar, Al-Malki continued:“We have also bought two other horses at this sale to be handicappers. They will ship straight to Qatar. This sale works well to get the horses ready for our autumn season.”Lot 778: Comical Point (IRE)Comical Point to be Trained by the Kublers COMICAL POINT was sold for 140,000 guineas to an online bid from SackvilleDonald. The three-year-old gelding by BLUE POINT has Listed-placed form in the Rockingham Stakes and was previously trained by Andrew Balding for owner Saeed Suhail.“He goes to Bahrain and will go into training with the Kublers, who have made a fantastic start to their training career in Bahrain,” explained Alastair Donald. “He has strong form, is a good-looking horse, will like the fast ground and is on the perfect rating for the Bahrain Turf Series. He came highly recommended by his previous trainer.” Lot 771: King’s Trust (GB)King’s Trust Another to Target Bahrain KING’S TRUST, the BHA rated 85 son of KINGMAN was bought by George Baker Racing for 110,000 guineas from The Castlebridge Consignment. The three-year-old gelding was previously trained by John and Thady Gosden for HM The King and HM The Queen.“Bahrain has been a huge part of our life for the last six years,” said Baker. “They’ve got their first Group 1 upcoming and they’re running the Bahrain Turf Series again.
