Catalogued as lot 196A, the chestnut filly will be consigned by Ed Player’s Whatton Manor Stud and joins a plethora of fillies with outstanding pedigrees in Europe’s premier yearling sale. The filly hails from one of the best families in the Stud Book, with her dam QUEEN POWER a half-sister to the Group 1 Prix d’Ispahan winner ZABEEL PRINCE and the Group 2 winner and multiple Group 1 placed PUISSANCE DE LUNE. QUEEN POWER is also a half-sister to the dams of Champions FIELD OF GOLD and RIZEENA. FIELD OF GOLD was the Champion 3YO European Miler whose victories included the Group 1 Tattersalls Irish 2000 Guineas and the Group 1 St James’s Palace Stakes. RIZEENA was Champion 2YO who won the Group 1 Coronation Stakes and Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes. The SHAMARDAL mare QUEEN POWER was a high-class racehorse herself when trained by Sir Michael Stoute. Alongside her Group 2 victory in the Middleton Stakes at York, she also placed in the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes on two occasions as well as finishing fourth in the Group 1 Nassau Stakes.
