The William Muir-trained CUTTIN’ EDGE was the 41st winner of a £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus when taking out the British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Stakes at Leicester today. The son of RIP VAN WINKLE collected £38,969 for his Maiden victory, made up of a £25,000 Book 1 Bonus, a £7,500 Plus 10 Bonus and prize money of £6,469. CUTTIN’ EDGE was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 50,000 guineas by trainer William Muir from the draft of Oghill House Stud. The son of HOW’S SHE CUTTIN’ is a half-brother to the Group 1 placed WASHINGTON DC and was bred by Paul Hyland and Chris McHale. CUTTIN’ EDGE’s win also provided a timely boost for her sibling and dam who are catalogued for the Tattersalls December Foal and Mare Sales respectively. Oghill House Stud offer the ZOFFANY own brother to WASHINGTON DC as lot 997 at the December Foal Sale whilst HOW’S SHE CUTTIN’ is catalogued as lot 1803 in the December Mare Sale in foal to Champion Sprinter MUHAARAR.
