The Hugo Palmer trained FAJJAJ became the 68th winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus when triumphant in the Sodexo British 2YO Novice Stakes at Ascot. The son of Darley’s first season sire DAWN APPROACH earned a total of £31,469 on debut for owners Al Shaqab Racing, picking up their third Book 1 Bonus of the year so far. FAJJAJ is out of JOHANNESBURG mare PLEASANTRY, a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winning miler KINGMAN, and was bought at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 140,000 guineas by Al Shaqab Racing and Nicolas de Watrigant’s Mandore Agency. Oghill House Stud who consigned FAJJAJ are due to offer his half sister by INVINCIBLE SPIRIT at this year’s sale, catalogued as Lot 145. The £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus is exclusively for horses bought at Book 1of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale which takes place October 3rd – 5th.
