The son of FRANKEL is out of the Listed placed DUBAWI mare DEIRDRE and is a half-brother to three winners, from the family of Group 1 Irish St Leger winner DUNCAN. FRED was offered at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by John Troy on behalf of Normandie Stud where he was purchased by Mark Johnston for 145,000 guineas.
