Andrew Balding trained his fourth Tattersalls October £25,000 Book 1 Bonus winner of the year to victory at Hamilton this afternoon when HAPPY POWER won the EBF Maiden Stakes in good style. The King Power Racing owned son of DARK ANGEL earned a total of £30,434 for connections.
HAPPY POWER is out of SELKIRK mare TAMARISK, a half sister to Group 2 Rockfel Stakes winner CAIRNS, and was consigned at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by Yeomanstown Stud who sold her to SackvilleDonald for 625,000 guineas.
The £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus is only for graduates of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. This year’s sale takes place from October 9 – 11.
