The Michael Bell-trained HOUSE EDGE won the 80th £25,000 Book 1 Bonus when easily winning the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Novice Stakes at Musselburgh today. The son of NATHANIEL out of the CAPE CROSS mare BEZIQUE collected £37,028 in total for his owner Edward Ware, made up of £4,528 in prize money, £7,500 for the Plus 10 Bonus and £25,000 for the October Book 1 Bonus.
HOUSE EDGE was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 85,000 guineas by Richard Frisby Bloodstock from the draft of Voute Sales. His victory takes the total value of Book 1 Bonuses paid out by Tattersalls to £2,000,000.
HOUSE EDGE has an IFFRAAJ half-brother catalogued as lot 366 in Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale which features the only lots eligible for the £25,000 Book 1 Bonus. The sale runs from Tuesday, October 3rd to Thursday, October 5th.
