The Mark Johnston-trained MISTY GREY became the 6th winner of a £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus this year and the 140th overall when running out a seven length winner of the Wooden Spoon Charity Novice Stakes at Ripon. The daughter of DARK ANGEL is the second Bonus winner for Johnston this year and was purchased by her trainer at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 72,000 guineas from Hollyhill Stud and breeders Skymarc Farm. MISTY GREY collected £37,675 for breaking her maiden, made up of £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus, £7,500 Plus 10 Bonus and prize money of £5,175.
