The Aidan O’Brien trained PEDESTAL became the first Irish winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus with an impressive win in the 5 furlong Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden at Tipperary. PEDESTAL, also Plus 10 eligible, netted his owners Sue Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith more than €50,000 by winning his maiden. Bred by Epona Bloodstock Ltd and consigned by Croom House Stud, PEDESTAL was knocked down to M.V. Magnier for 220,000 guineas at Book 1 of the 2015 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale. The son of INVINCIBLE SPIRIT is the third two year old to land a lucrative £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus, following the 78,000 guineas Ed Dunlop trained GLOBAL APPLAUSE and the 32,000 guineas Mark Johnston trained KILMAH.
