The King Power owned filly QUEEN POWER became the 39th winner of a £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus this year and the 128th overall when taking out the Godolphin Under Starters Orders Maiden Fillies’ Stakes at Newmarket on Friday. The Ralph Beckett-trained daughter of SHAMARDAL earned her connections a total of £40,263 for her victory, with a Plus 10 Bonus of £7,500 and prizemoney of £7,763 supplementing the £25,000 Book 1 Bonus.
QUEEN POWER was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 500,000 guineas by SackvilleDonald’s Alastair Donald. The daughter of the UNBRIDLED’S SONG mare PRINCESS SERENA is a full sister to the Group 2 winner PUISSANCE DE LUNE and to the dam of Champion filly RIZEENA. She was consigned to the sale by her breeder Round Hill Stud.
The £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus is only for graduates of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale.
