The Tom Dascombe-trained colt STAR OF RORY became the ninth winner of the £25,000 Tattersalls October ‘Book 1 Bonus’ when scoring in the British Stallion Studs EBF Novice Stakes at Haydock last night. The son of first season sire BORN TO SEA earned £29,269 for his victory for owners Derek Passant and Hefin Williams.
STAR OF RORY was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 80,000 guineas by SackvilleDonald’s Ed Sackville. He was consigned to the sale by Houghton Bloodstock on behalf of Glebe Farm Stud.
