The Ralph Beckett-trained SUBATOMIC became the 32nd winner of a £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus when breaking his maiden in the British Stallions Studs EBF Maiden Stakes at Leicester in impressive style. The daughter of MAKFI earned a total of £38,969 for her owner Qatar Racing Ltd who were picking up their fourth Book 1 Bonus, adding to wins by SOUTH SEAS, VELVETEEN and BELLE DIVA earlier in the season.
SUBATOMIC was bought at Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale by David Redvers for 110,000 guineas and is a half-sister to US Group 2 winner WORLDLY as well as Listed winners NICE DANON and DONATIVUM. The well-related filly was consigned by Chris Wright’s Stratford Place Stud who have three yearlings on offer at the Book 1 sale this year. Day 2 of Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale commences at 11am on Wednesday 5th October.
