The Jessica Harrington-trained THE KING ran out an impressive winner of the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden at Gowran Park on Saturday to become the 72nd winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus.
The son of MASTERCRAFTSMAN out of the PEINTRE CELEBRE mare CATCH THE MOON earned his owners Mill House LLC 38,608 Euros for his victory, made up of prizemoney of 10,164 Euros and a Book 1 Bonus of £25,000.
THE KING was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by BBA Ireland’s Patrick Cooper for 140,000 guineas from the draft of Glenvale Stud.
The Castlebridge Consignment are set to offer a GALILEO half-sister to THE KING as lot 395 at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale which features the only yearlings eligible for the £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus. The sale takes place October 3 – 5.
