The Roger Varian trained TAJALLA ran out an impressive winner of the British EBF Novice Stakes at Newmarket to claim the first £20,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus of the 2022 flat season for owner Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum, the 273rd £20,000 Book 1 Bonus won in total. The son of KESSAAR is out of a half-sister to the Group 2 Flying Childers winner and promising young sire ARDAD, and is from the family of Group 1 winning sprinter MAAREK. TAJALLA was purchased for 90,000 guineas by Roger Varian at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from the draft of Tally-Ho Stud.
