The Andrew Balding-trained CROSSING THE LINE became the 59th winner of a £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus when she ran out an impressive winner of the Fly London Southend Airport 2YO Novice Stakes at Newmaket. The filly won a total of £37,028 when prizemoney of £4,528 and a Plus 10 Bonus of £7,500 are added to the £25,000 bonus available only to graduates of Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale.
CROSSING THE LINE is a daughter of CAPE CROSS out of the DIKTAT mare Terentia, and was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale by Rabbah Bloodstock for 75,000 guineas. Consigned by Throckmorton Court Stud, the filly races in the colours of Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum and her victory is the fourth £25,000 Book 1 Bonus for trainer Andrew Balding.
The Tattersalls October £25,000 Book 1 Bonus is only for horses bought at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale, that takes place from October 3 – 5.
