The John Gosden-trained EMARAATY became the 76th winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus when taking out the Wedgewood Estates EBF Novice Stakes at Newbury in very impressive fashion. The beautifully bred son of DUBAWI earned a total of £37,675 for his owner Hamdan Al Maktoum, who also won a £25,000 Book 1 Bonus with GABR earlier in the week.
Consigned at Book 1 of the October Yearling Sale by Meon Valley Stud, EMARAATY is out of the Group 1 Prix de l’Opera winner ZEE ZEE TOP and is a half sister to dual Group 1 winning IZZI TOP as well as Group 2 winning JAZZI TOP. The well related colt shared top billing at last year’s sale when bought by Shadwell Estate Company for 2.6 million guineas.
The £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus is exclusively for horses bought at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale which takes place October 3rd – 5th.
