The Karl Burke trained GESAYED became the 401st £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus winner when taking out the EBF Novice Stakes at Hamilton on debut for owner Mohamed Al Shehhi. Purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 80,000 guineas by agent Federico Barberini, the son of Dark Angel earned his owner £36,097 for victory. The £25,000 October Book 1 Bonus was the second won by Al Shehhi this year, following on from MEELAF who was the first Bonus of the year and who was also a value buy, costing only 105,000 guineas.
