CALIFORNIA GEM won the third £15,000 Tattersalls Craven Breeze Up Bonus of the year and trainer George Boughey’s first with an impressive two and three quarter length victory at Beverley in the British EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes. The daughter of CABLE BAY earned a total of £39,448 for owners Amo Racing and Omnihorse Racing with prize money supplemented by the £15,000 Craven Breeze Up Bonus and a £20,000 Great British Bonus. She was bought at the Craven Breeze Up Sale for 100,000 guineas from the draft of Aguiar Bloodstock, who had previously bought her from the Tattersalls Somerville Yearling Sale for 40,000 guineas from Highclere Stud.
