Catalogue Starting Letter to be Harmonised Across Europe’s Leading Sales Companies from 2026

Tattersalls, Tattersalls Ireland, Arqana, Goffs and Goffs UK have agreed to harmonise the starting letter for sales catalogues from 1st January, 2026 onwards.

The agreement will see all sales which are catalogued alphabetically, either by lot name or dam name, start with the same letter across the participating sales companies. The starting letter for the next three years will be as follows:

2026 – F
2027 – K
2028 – P

This change will apply to both Flat and National Hunt sales with the agreement providing clarity and consistency to both vendors and purchasers.

The next sale to be held at Tattersalls is the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale which will take place on Monday 24th November followed by the Tattersalls December Foal Sale from Tuesday 25th November – Saturday 29th December. The Tattersalls December Mares Sale will take place from Monday 1st – Wednesday 3rd December, with the fourth edition of the acclaimed Sceptre Sessions on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
