The Roger Varian-trained DUBAI POET became the 262nd winner of a £20,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus when running out an impressive winner of the EBF Novice Stakes at Newbury. The son of LOPE DE VEGA out of the FASTNET ROCK mare HUNDI was purchased at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale for 140,000 guineas by Roger Varian on behalf of owner Sheikh Mohamed Obaid. His half-sister by KINGMAN is lot 618 at this year's October Book 2 sale.
