Eldritch Wins the 37th ‘Book 1 Bonus’

A Book 1 one-two-three in the EBF Maiden Stakes at Haydock this afternoon was led home by the John Gosden-trained ELDRITCH who became the 37th winner of a £25,000 Tattersalls October Book 1 Bonus. Owned by George Strawbridge, the son of DARK ANGEL earned a total of £29,269 for his debut win.

The well-related colt is out of a half-sister to Group 1 Middle Park Stakes winner ZIETEN as well as Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes winner BLUE DUSTER and was bought at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale by Blandford Bloodstock for 75,000 guineas having been bought back at Book 1 by vendor Taroka Stud.
