DARK RAVEN, currently the top-rated four-year-old bumper horse in Ireland, is to be offered for sale at the forthcoming Tattersalls Online 23rd March Sale.

Hugely impressive when winning a hotly contested NH Flat Race at Leopardstown for trainer Willie Mullins and owner Patrick McCormack, DARK RAVEN looks likely to be amongst the favourites for the prestigious €100,000 Tattersalls Ireland George Mernagh Memorial Bumper at Fairyhouse on 4th April, for which he will not carry a penalty.

The Tattersalls Online 23rd March Sale already features the final instalment of the complete dispersal from the late Peter Magnier’s Brittas House Stud, headlined by the eight-year-old Listed winning mare WE ARE NINETY, the GALILEO mares INNOCENT AIR and ZEE ZEE GEE, and the Timeform-95 rated filly COMBINE.

The initial entries also include another impressive recent bumper winner in the 29 length Mares Bumper winner JUMPING JET, who will be offered by Barry Fitzgerald’s Old Leighlin Stables. The five-year-old daughter of GETAWAY made short work of experienced rivals to run out a ready winner on debut at Gowran Park.

Entries with good form on the flat include Eve Johnson Houghton’s progressive three-year-old PERCY WILLIS, a son of SIR PERCY from the family of Group 1 winners MOHAATHER and ACCIDENTAL AGENT who has been placed on both his starts this year. Other horses in training to note include TILSITT, a winner on his most recent start at Southwell for Ivan Furtado, and Ken Condon’s ELUSIVE KING who boasts smart Irish form behind the subsequent Group 1 winner CHAMPERS ELYSEES.

Culworth Grounds Farm will also offer a well-bred store by NO RISK AT ALL, the sire of Champion Hurdle winner EPATANTE and ALLAHO. The four-year-old gelding hails from the family of successful National Hunt sire JUKEBOX JURY.

The Tattersalls Online 23rd March Sale will be the third conducted on the Tattersalls Online platform, where WEST END GIRL realised a record price at an online sale in Britain or Ireland of £420,000 at the Tattersalls Online Ascot June Sale last year. Entries for the Tattersalls Online 23rd March Sale can be made on www.tattersallsonline.com and will close at 5.00pm on Monday, 15th March.

The catalogue for the sale will be published online on Wednesday, 17th March. Bidding will open at 12pm (noon) on Monday 22nd March and will close from 12pm (noon) on Tuesday, 23rd March.
