Fifteen wildcards have been added to the inaugural Tattersalls May NH Sale which takes place at Park Paddocks, Newmarket from 11.00am this Thursday 26th May. The 15 lots are in addition to the 50 store horses as well as 31 point-to-pointers and horses in training already catalogued, of which two horses in training are to be offered as part of the Ann & Alan Potts part dispersal.

Among the additional lots is the taking debut Ballingarry point-to-point winner WRESTLINGWITHRAE. The four-year-old gelding put in a fine round of jumping and, despite running green in front in the closing stages, was able to fend off all challengers. From the first crop of SNOW SKY, WRESTLINGWITHRAE will be offered by Cormac Doyle’s Monbeg Stables.

An eye-catching second to WRESTLINGWITHRAE at Ballingarry was the debut runner ROGER POL. Consigned at the Tattersalls May NH Sale by Colin Bowe’s Milestone Stables, the SHANTOU four-year-old is out of the Listed-winning hurdler LAREN, making him an own-brother to the Grade 1 performer MINELLA CROONER.

Another to note from Milestone Stables is the Inchydoney point-to-point winner ALDEN. The four-year-old son of WALK IN THE PARK jumped to the front two from home and, with another slick jump at the last, ran out an ultimately comfortable winner.

Sales held at Park Paddocks in Newmarket have proven to be a prolific source of top-class National Hunt horses over the last 18 months. KNIGHT SALUTE and PIED PIPER, the one-two in the Aintree Grade 1 Anniversary 4-y-o Juvenile Hurdle, were bought last year for 14,000 guineas at the Tattersalls July Sale and 225,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale respectively. The relocated Tattersalls Cheltenham Sales also saw Cheltenham Festival victor LOVE ENVOI, winner of the Grade 2 Dawn Run Mares' Novices' Hurdle, bought for £38,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham March Sale and Grade 1 Champion Bumper second AMERICAN MIKE bought for £195,000 at the Tattersalls Cheltenham April Sale.

The catalogue and race replays can be viewed online with printed copies available at Park Paddocks.
