French Oaks Second Survie to be Offered at Tattersalls December Mares Sale

SURVIE, who was second beaten a head in the Group 1 Prix de Diane, is to be offered in the Sceptre Sessions at the Tattersalls December Mares Sale, taking place from 1st – 3rd December, where she will be consigned by co-trainers Nicolas Clement & Frauke Hermans.

By GALILEO’s regally bred dual Guineas winning son CHURCHILL, SURVIE was a narrow second in the French Oaks to SPARKLING PLENTY and then took the Group 2 Prix de Malleret comfortably on her next start.

This season SURVIE has maintained her outstanding form finishing third in the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes at the Curragh behind WHIRL, second in the Group 1 Prix Jean Romanet and a close fourth in the Group 1 Prix Vermeille. She is offered with a Timeform rating of 114.

SURVIE is a daughter of the Listed winning and Group 2 Prix de Royallieu placed LE HAVRE mare SOTTEVILLE from the family of Group 1 Champion Stakes winner KING OF STEEL and Australian Champion CONTRIBUTER.

Commenting on her sale, co-trainer Nicolas Clement said:

“We are consigning a jewel. She has been the star of the stable and was just beaten a head in a French Classic. She is a top of the ground filly who has been very consistent throughout her career, being Group 1 placed on three occasions including in the Pretty Polly and Prix Jean Romanet. She is one of the very best fillies in Europe and whether to breed or race, I’m sure she’ll make somebody happy. We’ll be sad to see her go.”

SURVIE, who races for both the China Horse Club international and Gerard Augustin-Normand, will be offered as lot 1723 on Tuesday 2nd December in the second of the two Sceptre Sessions.
