GIFTED MASTER, trained by Hugo Palmer, won the 14 runner £500,000 Tattersalls Millions 2YO Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse today.  The son of Kodiac was bought by Rabbah Bloodstock for 75,000gns from Irish consignors Tally-Ho Stud at the 2014 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 1.

After the race Hugo Palmer commented, “I have always thought he could be a proper stakes horse. He threatened to be a really good horse before he hurt himself but he has come back and has beaten the Norfolk winner. We will take one race at a time. The Horris Hill Stakes could be an option but I couldn’t rule out perhaps even the Breeders Cup. Nothing is open, nothing is closed at this stage. We will just make sure he is in one piece tomorrow and then we can make plans.”

WATERLOO BRIDGE was second for Aidan O’Brien, with the £200,000 Tattersalls Millions Median Auction Trophy winner ZHUI FENG in third for trainer Amanda Perrett.

Book 1 of the 2015 Tattersalls October Yearling Sale takes place October 6 – 8 and will feature the only yearlings eligible for the all-new £25,000 Tattersalls October ‘Book 1 Bonus’ which offers a £25,000 bonus to any October Book 1 graduate who wins a Class 2, 3 or 4 Maiden in Great Britain or an ‘Open’ 2YO Maiden in Ireland. The Tattersalls Millions race series will conclude with the 2016 running of the Tattersalls Millions 3YO Trophy at Newmarket’s Rowley Mile Racecourse in April.
