The Group 1 National Stakes winner THUNDER MOON and the Irish Cesarewitch winner WATERVILLE look set to be amongst the highlights of the four-day Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale which takes place Monday 24th to Thursday 27th October. The world’s largest horses in training sale numbers 1,552 lots and can be viewed online at www.tattersalls.com.

The Joseph O’Brien trained four-year-old colt THUNDER MOON is the only Group 1 winner in the catalogue, having won the National Stakes as a two-year-old. The son of ZOFFANY is rated 108 by ‘Timeform’ and was also placed in the Group 1 Dewhurst Stakes and Group 1 Prix Jean Prat. He will be offered by The Castlebridge Consignment.

Another horse sure to attract the attention of buyers is the Aidan O’Brien trained WATERVILLE who won the Irish Cesarewitch on Sunday with a last to first performance. The lightly raced three-year-old is rated 116p by ‘Timeform’ following his victory and will be one of a draft of 41 to be offered by Coolmore. Their draft also includes this year’s Group 2 Dante Stakes third BLUEGRASS who is rated 107 by ‘Timeform’.

Recent Group 1 winner KNIGHTS ORDER and ZAAKI were both purchased at the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale and this year’s catalogue features more than 70 Group and Listed performers.

There are several top-class two-year-olds catalogued including EDDIE’S BOY, a wide margin winner of the Group 3 Prix Eclipse on his most recent start and DUBAI MILE, a close second in the Group 2 Royal Lodge Stakes at Newmarket on Saturday. The Listed winner ROCKET RODNEY and the Chesham Stakes runner-up PEARLING PATH add to the exciting list of juveniles.

The Juddmonte Farms consignment is always a highlight of the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale and the recent Australian Listed winner and Melbourne and Caulfield Cup hopeful EMISSARY provided a timely reminder of the quality on offer in their drafts as did last year’s Group 3 winner SPIRIT RIDGE. Selling on Wednesday 26th October, the 23-lot draft includes the unexposed, exciting three-year-old colts SPECIAL ENVOY, officially rated 97 and DEMARCAY, a winner and placed in four of his five starts and ‘Timeform’ rated 96.

There are also significant drafts from Godolphin and Shadwell Estates with 28 and 14 lots respectively with the former including the Group placed BEDOUIN’S STORY and the 100+ rated AADDEEY and MOVIN TIME. The Shadwell draft includes the Group winner MUJBAR, the Group placed MONAASIB, the Listed placed ZAWAAYA and a further seven lots rated 85 or greater.

The largest consignment will be offered by the Castlebridge Consignment who are set to offer 155 horses in training, followed by Jamie Railton with 105, Baroda Stud with 92 and Barton Sales with 58. The largest trainer’s consignment is the 47-strong team from Andrew Balding’s Park House Stables which includes the Group 2 July Stakes winner TACTICAL, whilst Richard Hannon’s East Everleigh Stables has 45 lots catalogued with Mark Johnston’s Kingsley Park to offer 43 horses in training.
