Half-Sister to Group 1 Prix de l’Opera winner Barnavara Added to Tattersalls December Foal Sale

The ST MARK’S BASILICA half-sister to Group 1 Prix de l’Opera winner BARNAVARA has been added to the Tattersalls December Foal Sale, where she will be offered by Awbeg Stud as lot 895A on Friday 4^th December.

Born on 10^th February, the chesnut filly is out of the winning KENTUCKY DYNAMITE mare ALFEA, dam of three winners from three foals of racing age, including the exciting filly BARNAVARA who won the Group 2 Blandford Stakes and Group 3 Blue Wind Stakes this year prior to her success at the highest level at Longchamp. The daughter of CALYX also features amongst the catalogued lots in the December Mares Sale and will be offered as lot 1753 in the Sceptre Sessions. 

ALFEA is also the dam of SPANISH FLAME, the two-time winning PHOENIX OF SPAIN four-year-old, who was fourth in the Group 2 Futurity Stakes and had an official rating of 95 as a two-year-old. The family traces back to the Group 1 winner DANCETERIA as well as the multiple Group 1 winner and top-class sire LOPE DE VEGA.
