The exciting DUBAWI filly DECLARING LOVE, who won the Listed Lansdown Stakes at Bath on Friday evening, has been added to the Tattersalls Guineas Horses in Training Sale as lot 37. The sale takes place Friday 30th April starting at 10am and precedes the Guineas Breeze Up Sale.

The four-year-old filly will be offered by trainer John Butler’s Charnwood Stables and hails from a top class German family. DECLARING LOVE is the second winner by DUBAWI out of high-class DALAKHANI mare WEDDING MARCH who placed fourth in the Group 1 Prix Marcel Boussac at two and is a daughter of Group 2 Prix Corrida winner ELOPA, who was also third in the Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes.

The fast-improving filly, now rated 102 by ‘Timeform’, looks set for a rewarding year having won three of her four starts in 2021. Past winners of the Lansdown Stakes, now sponsored by Whitsbury Manor Stud, have gone on to Group 1 and 2 glory including CASSANDRA GO, GILT EDGE GIRL and PRICELESS.

In addition, breeders should note the extraordinary record of past winners of the Lansdown Stakes, which since 2000 have included the outstanding Group 1 producers CASSANDRA GO and ENTICING, as well as INDIAN MAIDEN, PLACE IN MY HEART and SWISS LAKE, all dams of Group 2 or 3 winners. A vintage 2005 renewal could be regarded as one of the most influential races this century with SUMORA, subsequently the dam of Group 1 winner MAYBE, herself dam of SAXON WARRIOR, finishing second behind INDIAN MAIDEN, a short head in front of KIND, the dam of FRANKEL.

Catalogues for the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze Up & HIT Sale are online now and available from Tattersalls and Tattersalls representatives.
