The Aidan O'Brien trained RIVER THAMES made an impressive winning debut at Punchestown to claim the 260th £20,000 Book 1 Bonus and collect a total of €30,560 for owners M Tabor, D Smith, Mrs J Magnier & Westerberg. The son of CHURCHILL is out of a full-sister to the Group 3 Princess Margaret Stakes winner ANGEL'S HIDEAWAY and was purchased for 320,000 guineas by MV Magnier at Book 1 of the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale from the draft of Mountain View Stud, who will consign his CRACKSMAN half-sister as lot 1112 at Book 2 of this year's sale.
