Tom Malone Secures Saint Terry for 70,000 Guineas

SAINT TERRY, an unraced two-year-old colt by GALILEO, topped the Tattersalls November Sale, bought via an online bid of 70,000 guineas from bloodstock agent Tom Malone.

“He’s been bought for a client as one owner bought the other partner out. He’ll go to be trained at Barry Brennan’s Newlands Stables in Lambourn," said Malone.

Sold by Freddy and Martyn Meade from Manton Park Racing, SAINT TERRY is out of the CAMELOT mare PINK DOGWOOD, winner of the Listed Salsabil Stakes and three-time placed at Group 1 level. She is an own-sister to the Group 1 Irish Derby winner Latrobe, and from the family of the Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies' Turf winner NEWSPAPEROFRECORD.

Manton Park Racing also sold an unnamed ALMANZOR colt out of the OASIS DREAM mare DIEULEFIT hailing from the family of champions MISTY FOR ME, U S NAVY FLAG and FASLIYEV. The two-year-old was bought by Martyn Meade for 32,000 guineas.

Lot 94: Saratoga Gold (GB)

Kevin Frost Lands Saratoga Gold for 32,000 Guineas

That price was matched by Kevin Frost and Curton House Partnership when purchasing the eight-time winner SARATOGA GOLD from Charlie Hills' Faringdon Place Stables for 32,000 guineas.

"He is for the Curton House Partnership, Harold and Julie Jones," said Frost of the MAYSON five-year-old, who is BHA rated 89 and who finished mid-division in this year's Ebor Handicap. "I think he is a horse who can take us to some nice places next summer, he likes fast ground and 1m4f. He was recommended to me and we might give him a couple of runs on the All-Weather this winter."
