Tattersalls December Foal Sale Catalogue Now Online
The catalogue for the market-leading Tattersalls December Foal Sale is online now at www.tattersalls.com and will be available in print on October 23. Numbering 1,116 lots, the December Foal Sale will take place from Wednesday, November 26th to Saturday, November 29th and will feature 4 foals by the Champion racehorse FRANKEL.
All eyes will undoubtedly be on the four foals from the first crop of Champion racehorse FRANKEL that will be offered on the third day of the sale and they look an exciting quartet on paper. Norelands Stud will offer a colt out of the Group placed Listed winner DORCAS LANE and a filly out of the Group placed KIRINDA. New England Stud offers a half-brother to the Group/Listed winning trio of SWISS DIVA, SWISS SPIRIT and SWISS DREAM, out of the Listed winning INDIAN RIDGE mare SWISS LAKE whilst the quartet is completed by Cheveley Park Stud’s son of the Group 1 Fillies’ Mile winner RED BLOOM.
Europe's market leading Tattersalls December Foal Sale boasts an outstanding catalogue with no less than 99 foals by the current top 10 active British and Irish sires and 235 of the top 20, including DUBAWI, GALILEO, INVINCIBLE SPIRIT, OASIS DREAM, SEA THE STARS and SHAMARDAL. The catalogue also boasts own and half brothers and sisters to an impressive 165 Group and Listed winners including 2013/2014 Group 1 winners AL KAZEEM, DOMINANT, HAVANA GOLD, NOVELLIST and RIZEENA.
As well as FRANKEL, there are 17 other stallions with representatives of their first crop catalogued including five Group 1 winners. They include the Irish 2,000 Guineas winner POWER who has 13 foals catalogued, King George & Queen Elizabeth Stakes winner NATHANIEL with 19 foals and July Cup winner MAYSON who is represented by 22 first crop foals. EXCELEBRATION, who chased home FRANKEL on no less than five occasions, but won three Group 1 races when his nemesis wasn’t around has 20 foals catalogued. Leading the first-crop stallions numerically is the Group 2 Richmond Stakes winner HARBOUR WATCH with 53 foals, followed by Juddmonte Farms’ multiple Group 1 placed BATED BREATH with 41.
