Tattersalls December Sale Entry Just The Judge Wins G1 EP Taylor
JUST THE JUDGE, who is to be sold at the forthcoming Tattersalls December Sale (November 24th – December 4th), added a second victory at the highest level when winning the Grade 1 E.P. Taylor Stakes at Woodbine yesterday.
The daughter of LAWMAN, who won the Irish 1,000 Guineas last year, is set to head to Santa Anita for her swansong in the Grade 1 Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf prior to her December Sale appointment.
Trained by Charlie Hills on behalf of owners Qatar Racing and the Sangster Family, JUST THE JUDGE is the first British or Irish Guineas winning filly still in training to be offered for sale since RAVINELLA who was sold at the 1988 Tattersalls December Sale for 1,400,000 guineas.
Commenting on JUST THE JUDGE, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;
“JUST THE JUDGE is an outstanding race filly with a top class pedigree and is still performing at the very highest level. She is a very enticing prospect both to race on and also as a breeding prospect to grace the very best broodmare bands in the world.”
The Tattersalls December Sale takes place from November 24th – December 4th, starting with the December Yearling Sale on November 24, the December Foal Sale on November 26 – 29 and the December Mare Sale on December 1 – 4. The catalogue for the Tattersalls December Mare Sale will be published on October 27 and will be online later this week.
